Veneers

Porcelain Veneer
A porcelain veneer is a porcelain front fitted over existing teeth – suitable for the front ten upper and lower teeth. It is a permanent solution for a desired cosmetic effect. Veneers are particularly well suited to discoloured or crooked teeth. Veneers can be used to lengthen teeth, close gaps and improve the orientation of teeth.

Procedure
Because porcelain veneers are primarily placed for cosmetic reasons, pre-construction planning is most important. This typically involves making of study models and mock veneer set ups followed by preparation of teeth to the agreed shape. The impressions are then taken and temporary veneers are placed on the teeth while the lab constructs the final veneers. The veneers are then checked for shade and fit before bonding over the prepared teeth.
