Full dentures

Designed for patients who have lost all their natural teeth, providing a complete and comfortable replacement for a natural-looking smile.

Partial dentures

Ideal for those who still have some natural teeth, these dentures help fill in the gaps while maintaining proper alignment and preventing shifting of natural teeth.

Immediate dentures

Temporary dentures that are placed immediately after tooth extraction, so you’re never without teeth during the healing process.

Denture relines and repairs

Over time, dentures may need adjustments to improve fit and comfort. We offer relining and repair services to keep your dentures feeling and looking great.

Why choose us?

On-site Clinical Dental Technician

We leave the expert work to the experts! Dentists can make dentures but they also do a lot of other things. Clinical Dental Technicians primarily focus on dentures and other prosthetic work, so they know exactly what they're doing. Sandia provides expert guidance, taking precise impressions and ensuring a perfect fit. She often personally works on the manufacturing of the dentures for her cases at the lab too.

Premium, handcrafted quality

Our lab partners have been in the industry for over 28 years, with a focus on advanced technology, quality material, and efficient service to create dentures that feel good, look great and last long. All our dentures are made right here in Auckland by Sandia and other lab technicians, supporting kiwi industry.

Gentle and patient-focused care

We're the dentists chickens aren't scared of and that's no different for dentures. Our whole team is committed to making your treatment with us as comfortable and easy as possible, no matter how scared you are of the dentist (or the dental technician!) so you can get the dental care you need. We will take the time to understand your needs and priorities and explain your options so you feel confident in making decisions about your denture.

All-in-one convenience

Dentures sometimes require other dental work like tooth extractions. At Dentistry for Chickens, you'll be able to get your treatment from start to finish under one roof. Our team of Dentists can facilitate the dental work and then hand over to our Clinical Dental Technician to complete your denture so we can get it fitted as quickly as possible while your treatment is managed by one team, in one practice throughout. â€‹

The denture process

1

Consultation

During your first appointment, we discuss all suitable options tailored to your needs. If you choose to proceed, we may take initial impressions. If you need dental work first, we'll organise that with our dentist or refer you back to your dentist if you prefer.

2

Secondary impressions

We take more detailed impressions using a special tray and create a wax bite registration to ensure proper jaw alignment. At this stage, we also help you choose the ideal tooth shade and mould for a natural appearance.

3

Wax try-in

A mock-up of your new dentures is created in wax for you to try if you choose to have one made. This allows us to confirm the fit, shade, and aesthetics, and make any necessary adjustments before the final dentures are made.

4

Denture fitting

Once you're happy with your model, we then produce your denture in the lab. We will then fit your final denture to ensure comfort, functionality and aesthetics. We may make some small adjustments where possible.

5

Final check

We usually get you back in a week later to check the fit. This is to allow your denture to settle and for you to get used to it. We will then make any adjustments that are needed and possible.

6

Maintenance

To maintain your denture, it should be relined every 4 years which we can help you with. We can also fix your dentures if they become loose, broken or need teeth added to them.
